The following shall be added to the description:- "Interior contains a fine ashlar cantilevered staircase with iron baluster and mahogany hand rail. Some marble fireplaces survive, as do all the shutters and most doors.

Rectory, now zoo office. c1840. By Rev the Hon Augustus Duncombe. Bordered herringbone-tooled sandstone; plinth; slate roof. 2-storey, 3- window front. Entrance in left return. 3-window semicircular bay with tall 12-pane sashes between Tuscan columns at right. 4-pane sash at left. 12- pane sashes on first floor. Bay window cornice continues as moulded first- floor band beneath first-floor sill band. Overhanging eaves. Ridge stacks to hipped roof. Left return: 2-storey, 3-window front, with 1-storey quadrant screen wall at left. C20 door approached by flight of steps with railings, flanked by 12-pane sashes: 12-pane sashes on first floor. Screen wall has plain door with divided overlight. Moulded eaves cornice to wall continues as moulded first-floor band across main front. Right return: 2- storey, 5-window front. 12-pane sashes to both floors, those on ground floor over recessed panels. Moulded first-floor band and sill band. Rear: ground floor masked by service range. Radial-glazed staircase window in round-arched recess at centre of first floor; tripartite sash at left and 12-pane sash at right. Moulded first-floor band and sill band. Doorstep railings have stick balusters and flat handrail swept on turned standards at the bottom.
