Details

BOLTON PERCY TADCASTER ROAD SE 54 SW (south side) 4/25 The Old Rectory 14.11.73 GV II Vicarage now house. Reputedly 1698 with possible earlier origins and later additions and alterations. Magnesian limestone with reddish-brown narrow brick fronting, now mainly pebbledashed and colour-washed, with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys with attics, 8 first-floor windows. Quoins. Plinth. Off-centre entrance a C20 part-glazed double door with overlight within keyed architrave with moulded cornice forming part of first-floor band with sundial over. 3 window C19 canted outer bays to ends otherwise ground floor has 8-pane casements. 12-pane sashes to first floor. 2 raking dormers. Ashlar coping and shaped kneelers. End, ridge and rear stacks. Interior has dog-leg service staircase with splat balusters. C19 open-well staircase with stick balusters.
