Wrongly shown on OS map as Clevelands Farm. House. C.1700, altered in C19 and
C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays
aligned NW-SE, and contemporary dairy at W corner. C19 extension with slate
roof to SW of NW bay, joining house to dairy. Single-storey lean-to extensions
to SW and NE of house. 2 storeys. SE elevation, 5 C20 casements on ground
floor and one on first floor. C20 door in NE extension. Original sprockets
below eaves on both sides of house. 2 wood-burning hearths of 0.23 metre
brickwork, both formerly plastered, now stripped. Blocked aperture for oven in
rear hearth, now demolished. Chamfered axial beard over front room. Floor over
rear room rebuilt or composed of re-used timber. Original roof with clasped
purlins. Good brick floor in dairy, draining to the middle.
