House. Late C17 main range to right. Red brick built with flared headers. Two later red brick ranges to left. All with red plain tiled roofs, hipped to main range, hipped to left of centre range, Dutch gable to left range. All ranges 2 storeys and attics, main range with basement. 4 flat headed dormers to main range, 3 dormers with moulded pediments to centre range. Forward main range with rusticated quoins, of 7 bays, the central 3 breaking forward and pedimented. Brick parapet with stone coping, ball finials and moulded brick band. 2:3:2 window ranges of small paned vertically sliding sashes with margins and Gothic heads. Central band to right and left bays, moulded dressings and canopies over to central ground floor windows. Gauged brick arches to basement. Central 8 panelled double doors, pilasters with moulded capitals and bases. Moulded flat canopy with carved brackets. 2 symmetrically placed red brick chimney stacks. Recessed left and centre range with 2:3 window ranges of vertically sliding sashes. 6 panelled door with 2 lights, flat canopy and carved brackets to right of centre range, 2 panelled door with 2 lights, flat canopy and scroll brackets to right of left range. Interior of main range said to contain late C16 panelling with enriched frieze to one room, late C17 panelling to most ground floor rooms. Late C16 mantelpiece. Late C17 panelled staircase with moulded strings and twisted balusters. RCHM 2.
