Office and workshop. Cl9. Mainly timber framed with vertical weatherboarding.
The front to High Street of red brick. Grey slate roofs. The brick front range
L-shaped, single storey, I:I window range with segmental arch heads, to left, a
3 light casement window. Gauged brick arch to right small paned casement, stone
cills to each. Moulded brick eaves and pediment cornices with band. Stops to
pediment. Blank, moulded brick plaque to pediment. Red brick chimney with
pilasters and moulded capping and base. To the rear is an attached 2 storey
building of vertical weatherboard cladding, hipped grey slate roof and matching
red brick chimney stack with pilasters. 6 windows to first floor, 5 to ground
floor of 3 or 4 light casements with transomes. 3 boarded doors and one double
door to this face, one boarded door to front range. Forms a group with previous
listed building and Little Bensons. Was probably part of Ongar Academy.
