House. Circa 1550. Main range with C17 3 gabled additions to south and
medieval range to west with inserted floor. Some C18 finishings. Timber framed
and plastered. Red plain tiled roofs. 2 small gables with barge boards to
main range. One dormer and 2 catslides to west range, all gables with scalloped
barge boards. 2 red brick chimney stacks. The western with attached diagonal
shafts. 2:1:1 window range of square leaded casements, those to main range
with drip hoods over. Interior contains 3 inglenook fireplaces. Original
flooring to some rooms. Exposed timber frame. Fully framed double side purlin
roof. Some C17 iron windows with cobra head catches. C17 panelling to
staircase. C18 doors and finishings. Attached bakehouse and dairy. Bakehouse
with C15 oak truncated moulded mantel beam over, similarly altered red brick
fireplace. Probably RCHM 6.
