13/65 Gills Farmhouse

G.V. II Farmhouse. Early C17. Timber framed with rendered wattle and daub infill and pantiled roof. 2 storeys and dormer attic. Late C20 gabled porch obscures original 4-light ovolo mullioned window. C19 sash and casement to left and one C20 casement each floor to right. South gable wall has central C20 casement flanked by 2 restored 3-light ovolo mullioned windows and 4-light similar mullioned window to first floor under drip shelf. C20 attic casement. East front with scattered fenestration including further mullioned windows. One C20 gabled dormer. Tongue stopped and chamfered bridging beams and joists to living room. Rebuilt fireplace and close studded timber frame of heavy scantling throughout. Kitchen bridging beam double stopped. Winder staircase by stack. Roof with collars and one tier clasping purlins and curved wind- bracing.
