House. Mid C19. Painted rendered stone rubble. Slate roof with Vitruvian scroll
carved bargeboards at right gable end and to gabled central bay. Small brick stack
at left gable end and axial diagonally-set twin brick stacks to service range to
left.
Main range virtually symmetrical on plan with principal room to each side of
entrance passage and additional entrance at left end. Lower service range extends
from left end and is set back slightly. Seaside Gothick style.
Main range 2 storeys with attic storey. Service range 2 storeys. Main range of 3
bays, central bay breaks forward slightly. Segmental pointed arched windows and
central doorway with corbelled hoodmoulds except ground floor windows and hoodmoulds
of main range which are straight-headed. Original fenestration, single light attic
window and first floor 2-light casements with margin glazing bars, intact except to
ground floor replaced in C20. Central doorway with 1/2 glazed door, single panel to
base, and Y glazing bars to overlight. 6 panelled door at left end. Service range
to left also retains original fenestration with pointed arched glazing bars, all 2-
light casements except to ground floor left side which is 3 lights. Right gable end
of main range also has segmental pointed arched windows with hoodmoulds and original
fenestration except ground floor which has projecting C20 shopfront.
