Farmhouse. Mid C17 possibly with earlier origins, altered in C19. Slatestone rubble walls. Concrete tile roof with stone coped gables. Hipped slate roof to rear wing. 2 rendered brick stacks - one at left gable end and one axial. Plan: originally likely to have had 3-room plan, but right-hand end of house has either been altered or is a later addition. C19 wing added at rear. Exterior: Asymmetrical 5 window front of 16-pane sashes on first floor, all with horns except for one earlier C19 one. At the right-hand end is an early C20 6- pane sash on each floor. The right-hand part of the house projects slightly and has a C19 6-panel door under a slate pentice. The left-hand part has a late C18 or early C19 tripartite 20-pane sash to its right and a horned 16-pane sash to the left. Between them is a C20 stone open-fronted porch which has an early C19 6- panel door behind. Interior: somewhat altered in C19 and C20, most earlier features concealed but does show C17 chamfered ceiling beams with bar stops.
