Whitehouse Farmhouse II Farmhouse, late C16, altered C18. Colourwashed, mainly clunch with some carstone, brick dressings. Blue glazed pantiles, gable parapets, end internal stacks, central axial stack. 4 bays, 2 storeys and attic, western part of range raised from 1½ storeys, timber frame enclosed, re-roofed at shallower pitch C18. Principal facade to south: full height vertical join between bays 3 and 4; gardrobe chute in flint and brick to left angle; doorway between bays 2 and 3 with open pediment and panelled reveals, 6 panelled door with upper two panels glazed. Varied and altered fenestration: casements to bay 1, fixed window to ground floor and 6 paned sash to first floor of bay 2, third bay with first floor casement only, fourth bay with 6 paned flush sashes; third and fourth bay with windows to eaves. Left return to west: brick plinth, rendered brick and flint, clunch above eaves, 2 small openings to chimney bay stair left and to first floor right. Windowless addition to left in English bond and pantiles, stack to west wall. Facade to north: carstone and flint plinth, walls of flint carstone and brick, decorative brick cornice; 2 bay 2 storey forward wing to bay 4 with doorway to right of left return. Varied and altered fenestration: bay 1 with part glazed door, doorway with C18 brick jambs and flat arch, renewed 3-light casement above; bay 2 with flush sash with glazing bars to ground floor, 3-light casement to first floor; bay 3 with blocked doorway left, 3-light casements to ground and first floor; fourth bay with doorway having gabled canopy to left, forward wing to right.
Interior: 8 bay 3 tier butt purlin roof with principal rafters of oak, rafters in split pine. Internal walls in clunch, west gable raised; attic floor to west lower than present eaves, 34cm oak boards. Western two cells: Principal beams and window lintels with bar stopped chamfered beams, large ceiling joists; west gable end fire place having massive beam above, salt hole to left, encased staircase to right; first floor with timber uprights and rails encased or removed, partition wall between bays 3 and 4 timber studded with wavy braces, moulded beam to gable end fire place. Door to stair with wide boards and splayed hinges.
