Guildhall, now 2 dwellings. Late C16. Timber framed with partly wattle and daub and partly clay lump infill. Brick skin to ground floor. All colour- washed. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys and dormer attic. 3 doorways, that to east in moulded case. 4 C18 casements with shutters. Jettied upper storey with close studding tenoned into bressummer. 5 C18 casements to first floor, that to west iron, the one next sliding horizontally. 3 straight braces to timber frame. Wall plate exposed. Overhanging eaves to gabled roof. Single gabled dormer window. External west stack, central ridge stack and internal east stack. Rear has 2 outshuts probably early C17. Early C18 casements to main wall in horizontal openings. Some chequered brickwork to lower storey. One 2-light timber mullioned window. Interior has longitudinal central passage. 2 staircases, both with ovens underneath. Crown post roof. Octagonal post with polygonal moulded bases and capitals supporting 2 arched braces. Side and crown purlins. Tie beams on arched braces.
