5/28 Whitehouse Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse, c.1700, colourwashed brick in Flemish bond, pantiles. 4 bays, 2 storeys. Axial stacks between bays 1 and 2, 3 and 4, with double sawtooth brick cornice to caps; right end internal stack, c.lm at left end slightly recessed. Four 3-light openings with C19 casements to each floor, those to ground floor under segmental arches. Doorway to bay 3 with narrow canopy supported by console brackets, heavy door of 6 raised and fielded panels. Left return with external stack cut down to first floor; gable end above recessed and rendered with C20 attic window, gable said to have been dated 1776. Small opening to ground floor to rear of chimney bay between bays 3 and 4. Interior not inspected at time of survey.
