Plan L-shaped plan, front range is the original one and was formerly of 4-room plan with baffle entrance in front of central axial stack which heats room to either side. The open fireplaces may not survive in exactly their original form; the left-hand one has a low slate slab lintel, the other has dressed stone jambs and a cambered wooden lintel.
