ST 30 SW CHARDSTOCK TYTHERLEIGH 6/116 8.5.67 Tytherleigh Manor Farmhouse GV II
Surviving wing of former manor house. Circa C16. East wing is all that remains of the house which probably extended to the west. Stone rubble range with dressed stone quoins and flat window arches with keystones. Steeply pitched slate roof with stone coping to gable ends, the south gable end with finial. Two storeys and attic. Long six window range. Modern casements in small openings. Central doorway with similar flat stone arch with keyblocks and moulded door frame and modern plank door. Two ground floor windows are now french windows. The south end has recently been extended one bay. Brick ridge and end chimney stacks. Later outshut at rear. Interior: stopped chamfer ceiling beams. Open fireplace in south room with chamfered timber bressummer with shouldered ends.
