II

House, C16 timberframed, rendered and colourwashed; half-hipped thatched roof. 2 cells with central chimney bay; additional timberframed cell to left; 1 storey and attic. Full height stair turret to chimney bay to front, c.1930, colourwashed brick, thatched roof. Axial stack rebuilt C18 with oversailing and sawtooth cornice. Facade to north to road: small casements with glazing bars to each bay; left and right return with swept half dormers to hips; right return with C19 lean-to in clay lump and part brick facing under pantiles. Left return with two adjacent casements with glazing bars. Stair turret with gable, tall stair casement window with glazing bars, door- way to left return under thatched canopy. Rear: cell 1 with 2-light case- ment; cell 2 with French window with glazing bars, fixed light with glazing bars of 3 x 3 panes to right, dormer to attic. Interior: some timber framing, sole plates and wall plates visible; some infill of wattle and daub; collarless roof.
