BRADFORD STREET 1. 885 (West Side) BOCKING No 37 (The Bawn) TL 7623 2/42 25.10.51. II GV
2. A late C18 timber-framed and plastered front to an earlier timber-framed building probably C17. 3 storeys and cellar. 4 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased frames. A 6-panel door with a rectangular fanlight has a cornice on console brackets. Roof slate. The interior has some panelling, exposed ceiling joists (lst storey) and an C18 staircase. All the listed buildings from No 19 to No 41 on the west side and No 4 to No 20 on the east side form a group with Bawn Cottage, Bawn Close. Also the listed buildings from No 37 to No 89 (with Nos 57, 61, 61A) on the west side form a group with No 24 to No 56A on the east side.
