Details
BAWBURGH HART'S LANE TG 1508 (north side) 9/13 14.1.74 King's Head Public House and adjoining house G.V. II C17 Lobby Entrance house at right angles to street with early C19 house added on street side. Colourwashed brick with pantiled and plaintiled roofs. Single storey refaced with brick. Attic. Original door frame opposite stack. 4 C19 casements. Shaped eves sprockets. Steeply pitched roof with 4 dormers and off-centre axial stack. Re-positioned crow-stepped gable to south, late C20 extension to north. Interior 3-cell with original double fireplace and stair engaged in entrance side of stack. Double jewelled and ogee chamfer stops. Original roof with butt-purlins, collars and ties. C19 addition: 2 storeys with segmental arched heads to ground floor openings. Saw-tooth cornice and hipped roof.
