Pair of cottages, forming part of a row. Mid C19. Plastered, with gable end slate
roof. Single depth plan; each cottage with 1 ground floor room (with leanto at
rear) and 2 bedrooms; doors to both stand adjacent to each other with 1 bedroom of
no. 7 above; vehicle entrance to yard to left, with 1 bedroom of no. 6 above. Rear
lateral stack to no. 6; end stack to no. 7. 2 storeys.
Exterior. Front: 4-window range; first floor with 12-pane hornless sash windows.
Ground floor : the 2 panelled doors each with rectangular overlight are contained
within a single architrave, with vehicle entrance to left with low, planked double
gates. Interior not inspected.
Nos. 6 and 7 occupy a prominent position on the north side of The Square, close to
Gore House (qv). Included for group value.
