House. Dated 1654 RMW in plaster to overmantle in upper room; C19 addition to east; outshuts to south. Timber-frame, partly brick-clad; brick extension. Glazed black pantile roof. 3 bay lobby-entrance type plan with 2-bay C19 addition. Facade of 2 storeys, 4 bays; 2 C19 bays to left, with shallower-pitched roof than the adjoining range, has sash window with glazing bars to ground floor; to its right a door of 6 raised and fielded panels, with panelled reveals; fluted pilasters and fascia, plain cornice. Sash window to first floor and blind window over door; sawtooth dentil eaves cornice; axial stack. Sash window to left hand bay of C17 range with a casement to its right. Similar fenestration to first floor. Walling to right not brick-clad. Off-centre axial stack. Interior. Kitchen to centre bay with C17 bench built into wall. Heavy chamfer to transverse beam; 2 small, unheated, rooms in services end bay, behind timber-framed partition with later doors. One of these small rooms has an elaborate plaster ceiling with stylised rose to centre, laurel-wreath garland encircling it, and angels heads and wings in the spandrels. In C19 range, a stone flagged entrance hall and staircase with stick balusters. C17 roof with clasp purlins and curved wind-braces.
