EASTON LODGE ROAD TG 11 SW Lower Easton 1/61 Easton Lodge II

Later C18 house with important C19 additions. Flint and brick with pantiled roof. L-plan in the C18; wings added in the C19. First build is centre section of south facade. Constructed of flint with raised brick window surrounds with keyed heads. 2-storeys and 3 bays with raised gable which was originally a classical pediment with dentilled cornices. Sash windows with glazing bars, columnar porch before modern glazed front door and lunette in pediment. East facade of colour-washed brick. 2-storeys, 3 irregular bays; pediment with dentilled cornices and lunette. Early c19 wings of brick with 2-storeys and 3 bays each. Large sash windows with glazing bars. Further c19 additions to rear. Originally one of the lodges to Costessey Hall. Engraving dated 1776 shows house before addition of wings.
