Formerly "The Tabor House". John Bunyan is said to have stayed here. It is
an early C16 timber-framed and plastered house with a late C16 south part and
a gable at the north end. 2 storeys. The upper storey is jet tied on the whole front, with a moulded and carved bressumer on curved and moulded brackets springing from attached shafts with capitals. The ground storey has exposed timber framing. 4 window range, casements, some with old leaded lights. There is a c16 doorway with a 4-centered arch in a square head. Roof tiled with a C16 central chimney stack with fluted shafts and moulded brick caps, on a square base. (The original stack has been rebuilt on the old model). The interior has exposed beams and some original features. RCHM (20).
