Angeston Grange
II*
Detached dwelling. Early C19. Painted rendering, stone slate roofs. A large, rambling example of Cottage Picturesque. The main front, facing south-west, has two main facets, the larger, to the left, two storeys with four varied gables with decorative bargeboards, the lesser, to the right boldly projectin ghalf-hipped gable, and set back with verandah carried to single wood post; various stacks with twisted and-decorated flues, and one deep stack carrying a bell in a lancet opening. Windows 2-and 3-light, and one small hipped dormer, also canted bay in two storeys with hipped stone capping. Entrance from east through plank door in 2-centred arch in porch with bargeboard under small tower with steeply pitched hipped capping. Interior not viewed. See also photographs in NMR.
