II
House. C18, c1800 facade. Walls flint, brick dressings, gault facade. Roof black pantiles. 'L' plan. Garden front: 3 bays, 2 storeys. Gault brick, colour-washed, keyed into earlier house behind (see W gable with built-up Dutch gable). Two tripartite ground floor windows: sashes, glazing bare, under segmental brick arches. First floor: 3 sashes, glazing bars. Central doorway under C20 segmental arch, fanlight, glazed door, panelled reveals. Eaves, hipped roof, 2 central stacks, C20 pantiles. Rear wing: 2 storeys, flint pantiled C20 windows. Facade is typical of Holkam Estate gentleman farmer's house with Samuel Wyatt- derived details of c1800.
