2. 1890 by George Skipper. Brick with painted front. Tiled roof with gabled ends. 2 storeys. 5 bays wide centre bay projects again with pediment with tympanum containing scene with sailing ship. Moulded eaves cornice with dentils. 1st floor brick pilasters fluted and rusticated with 2, 3 and 4-light mullion windows between with 3-centred arch heads to lights. Ground floor central 3-centred arch doorway with voussoirs and small rectangular sashes with drip moulds over. Between 1st and ground floor rectangular moulded panels containing shields and cartouche at centre over doorway, containing inscription "Town Hall 1890". Moulded string courses and plinth. Brick chimney stacks over gable ends with cornices. The south end gable is treated as pediment with chimney breast running through and 2 windows either side similar design to front. Long range behind, plain brick with buttressed walls and brick dentil eaves.
