Former barn, converted to coach house; now 2 houses in row, part of school. Early C17; mid C19 alterations. Timber framed; brick rebuilding; brick chimney; stone slate roof. Single-storey with attic. Attached at south end by C20 addition to No 43 (q.v.). West side: mostly C19 brick with scattered segmental arched casements, mostly C20, and large segmental arched coach doorway with plank doors to right of centre. Five gabled eaves-mounted attic roof dormers with C20 casements. Large ridge-mounted brick chimney. North end: small framed gable with rubble limestone plinth. Brick infill; small brick pigeon holes between diagonal bracing at apex. East side: segmental arched C20 casements; 4 gabled roof dormers. Interior: much of the timber framing survives, although altered extensively in conversion to houses.
