Arch, gate, barn, courtyard walls, 1623 for Sir Hamon Le Strange. Walls of coursed, galleted carstone with stone coped battlements. At south west corner brick arched 4-centred entrance to Park. At east on axis with entrance to Hall the arched gate known as the 'Inigo Jones Gateway' but attributable to Thomas Thorpe, master mason of King's Cliffe, Northants, then at work on Blickling (J. Summerson, The Book of Architecture of John Thorpe (1966 p.4)) 1623-4, yet details appear C18.
To east 2 Tuscan Doric columns on plinth with diamond lozenge relief, entablature and simplified frieze broken forward over columns, plinth with heraldic beast with coat of arms. String course arch with architrave and keystone, 2 strap work console brackets connect with wall. Central coat of arms in elaborate pierced strap work setting. Rear with simple entablature and 2 rounded niches. Pair of mid C18 wrought iron carriage gates, heads with rich Rococo decoration and large sunflowers.
North side of court formed by C17 2-storey stable block, coursed and galleted carstone, red pantiled roof. South face ground and first floor brick dressed long and low window openings, all blocked except one first floor at west. 3 inserted C20 openings at east. Brick plinth, string course and dogtooth dentil eaves cornice. West gable with brick quoins and kneeler, 2 C17 wooden framed single mullioned windows in gable, wooden cupola with lead ogee profile roof, C18 addition. Courtyard wall with gate continued at south east. Stable north gable brick quoins and kneelers, attic loft door in gable. C20 inserted ground floor window. North face whitewashed, with ground floor brick dressed 4-centred arched door; one ground and 2 first floor long and low brick dressed window openings at west, C20 openings at east.
