6/162 Group of 9 monuments in the churchyard approximately between 1 and 5m to south-east of chancel to Church of St. Cyr
GV II
Chest and pedestal tombs. Early C18-early C19. Limestone and sandstone. Group comprises: 2 lyre ended chest tombs, both with illegible inscriptions; 2 square pedestal tombs with attached reeded corner columns and domical top with urn, inscribed to RICHARD PETTAT, died 1809, other inscribed to Rev JOHN PETTAT, died 1811; 1 square sandstone pedestal tomb with recessed corners, inscribed to THOMAS PETTAT, died 1804; 2 rectangular chest tombs, 1 with cherub's heads and death's head, inscriptions illegible, other with fielded panels inscribed to NATHANIEL COLE, died 1774; and 2 rectangular pedestal tombs, 1 with finely carved cartouches and flanking panels, inscribed to THOMAS PETTAT, died 1806; and 1 with panelled sides and domical top, inscriptions illegible.
