House, once used as an inn, now 3 cottages. C15 with alterations of C16 or C17 and later periods. Timber frame and rubble with end wall in English garden wall bond brickwork. Thatched roof with end and near central brick stacks. Single storey with attics, irregular fenestration. Variety of single, 2 and 3-light casements most of which appear to be C19. Plank doors in various locations.

Internal features (RCHM): The house retails 3 bays of a cruck roof the central cruck of which is chamfered suggesting an origin as an open hall. The floors are supported on deep chamfered ceiling beams. (RCHM, Dorset, Vol IV, p 24, no 8)
