16/212 Gates and posts to east and west of Church of St. Mary
GV II
Two sets of gates and posts in churchyard wall. c1864. Cast and wrought iron. Gateway to west of church has 2 posts with lancet panel to each face, gablets and ball finial. Central carriage gates and flanking kissing gates all with iron railings having decorative spear tops. Gateway to east of church matches, but with main carriage gate moving in kissing gate enclosure with unusual movable end piece to allow full opening of main gate. Contemporary with Church of St. Mary (q.v.).
