CRANWORTH WOODRISING TF 90 SE 9/20 Hall Farmhouse - II
Farmhouse, approximately one third converted into a barn cum garage. Circa 1600 and later. Brick, partly colourwashed, and a pantile roof. 2 storeys with attic. Facade partly of colourwashed brick in English bond and partly rebuilt in C20 brickwork possibly replacing a timber frame. Modern facade with 3 C20 windows and 2 re-used C18 3-light mullion and transom windows with metal casements and some leaded glazing. Front door with flat concrete hood on brackets. Shaped eaves sprockets. Early facade with only 2 windows adjacent to rebuilt facade. One modern 2-light casement with glazing bars and one mullion and transom window above with leaded glazing. Rear facade with a later lean-to outshut opposite rebuilt front. Original brickwork adjacent with black header diapering and polygonal angle buttress. Evidence of some original openings with chamfered reveals. Cart entrance to ground floor and 2 C19 sash windows above. North gable-end with a panelled door, a sash window in gable and evidence of a former stack. One roughly central stack with a rebuilt shaft just to facade side of ridge and one south gable-end stack.
