3/116 Unidentified monument in the churchyard approximately 1.5m south of tower to Church of St. John
GV II
Chest tomb. Late C17. Limestone. Lyre-ended with acanthus leaf carving on scroll sides; ends mutilated. Bolection moulded inscriptions panel on south side held by 2 carved figures in robes, that to left standing on scull, while that to right is on cross- bones; inscription illegible, but said to refer to a member of the Poole family. Moulded and recessed inscription panel on north side with flanking acanthus leaf panels. Thick cyma moulded top and base.
