Details
HARDINGHAM STATION ROAD TG 00 SW 10/52 School House - II Former school and school house. Circa 1860. Flint with gault brick and stone dressings. Slate roofs. Irregular plan in Gothic Revival style. School single storeyed, house 2 storeyed. Diagonal buttresses to all corners. West facade. Single storeyed gabled extension to northern end with a 4-light Gothic window with cusped heads and rectangular hood mould. Slightly advanced stack adjacent to extension with an octagonal shaft. Gabled porch with a 2-centred arched entrance. Door with wooden blind tracery. 4-light Gothic window adjacent. 2 storeyed advancement to southern end with a 2-light and 3-light Gothic windows. Internal stack to northern face of advancement with 2 octagonal shafts. South facade. 2 storeyed advancement to east. 2 and 3-light Gothic windows. Panelled Gothic door beneath a gabled hood with decorative barge board. 2 octagonal chimney shafts. North gable- end of school with a 5-light panel traceried window and a clock face at apex of gable. Various extensions to rear.
