Nos 1, 2 and 3, Sudeley Lawn Cottages
(Formerly listed as Nos 1, 2 and 3, Sudeley Hill Farm Cottages, SUDELEY HILL)

Farmhouse, now three dwellings. C17 and C19, Cut and squared limestone,
part rendered, on return wall right and back, stone slate roof, but tile
on part back slope, 3 ridge stacks and one stack to back eaves, roof re-
turned with hipped end at back, No 1. A complex building, with narrow cen-
tral courtyard facing road in a U-plan. Street front is 1½ storeys to Nos
2 and 3 and 2½ storeys to No 1. Left gable 2-light over 3-light wood case-
ments under stopped drips, 2-light gabled dormer over small 2-light casement
and part-glazed C19 panelled door in centre section, small single lights
in right gable, the ground floor light blocked. In the courtyard, left,
one 3-light and one 1-light casement, and plank door, right, one 3-light
C19 under wood lintel, replacing former door, and 2-light chamfered mullion
casement at eaves. Return wall to right various casements, including one
2-light chamfered mullion with leading, first floor, left. Back is 2½
storeys with 2 and 3-light wood mullioned casements, and a C20 flat-roofed
extension. Interior includes large bressummer fireplace to No 2, and
heavily chamfered beams and stopped and chamfered joists in No 3. A fine
building in some decline at the time of survey.
