21/105 Dam Side Cottage with outbuilding to right

House and outbuilding. House probably early C19, outbuilding dated 1835. Limestone rubble, the house whitewashed, gritstone dressings, graduated stone slate roofs. House of 2 storeys and 2 bays, attached to barn belonging to Dam Side House (q.v.); 2-storey single bay outbuilding projects to right. House: central glazed door in plain stone surround; flanking and first floor sashes with glazing bars in plain stone surrounds; first-floor windows probably have raised lintels; ground floor jambs have iron fittings for shutter hinges. Stone gutter brackets; stack to right. Outbuilding: quoins, double board doors to cart entrance right, with cambered arch and stressed quoins to jambs; date plaque over inscribed "1835". Sashes with glazing bars in slightly projecting stone surrounds to left and above arch. Plain stone gutter brackets. Interior not inspected at resurvey. Included for group value with Dam Side house and barn (q.v.)
