9/207 Gate piers, adjoining walls and stable block about 14 yards south- - east of the Vicarage
GV II
Gate piers, adjoining walls and stable block. Late C18 with mid-C19 alterations. Sandstone ashlar and brick. Octagonal sandstone piers; sandstone base to adjoining wall, mainly garden wall bond with sandstone caping; approximately nine feet high and running about 35 yards to the west side and about five yards to the east side, where it joins the stable block. Stable block has a plain tiled roof with gable end parapets; two storeys with dentilled eaves cornice; two bays; elevation facing rectory has two large doorways and a blocked window, all with cambered heads; elevation facing road has a loft door and there are loft openings with cambered heads in each gable end. Included for group value.
