Large house, now eight dwellings. 1848 for H. Ingram of Loudwater Mill (not listed) and 'Illustrated London News'. Yellow brick with white brick and stone dressings. Slate hipped roof. Three storeys, basement and attic. Five bay front. Steps up to entrance in projecting stone porch, now glazed, Doric pilasters, modillioned cornice, chamfered corners. Flanking round headed sashes with keyed gauged brick arches, chamfered surrounds, cast-iron railings. Moulded stone string course and sill band to first floor with central tripartite window and flanking windows as on ground floor but smaller. Second floor has C20 casements. Panelled and banded brick below moulded stone cornice. White brick quoins and window surrounds. Three dormers with moulded round heads. Two bay returns are similar. To right three segmental headed openings in basement, one with a C20 glazed porch and one blocked. To left C20 glazed projection to basement.
A large rear block set back slightly to form a T on plan has three bay returns and a two bay rear elevation to garden. Continuous verandah to ground floor with elaborate ornamental iron work and a coved roof. Two bays to garden have first floor round headed and second floor square windows. Returns on rear block: six segmental arches to open basement, ground floor verandah, first floor round headed sashes and second floor two light casements. Multiple stacks on rear block with blind arcaded shafts, oversailing caps and continuous stone cornices. C20 projection to rear right.
