Cottage. Early C17, altered mid-C19 and mid-C20. Timber-framed, painted brick and rendered infill, brick additions, plain tiled roof, brick external stack at gable ends, west one now encased by C20 extension. Two framed bays; single storey and attic with dormers. Framing: mainly three panels from sill to wall-plate, some short straight braces in upper corners, collar-and-tie-beam truss with queen struts and V-struts in apex at east gable end. Front elevation: ground floor has two 3-light casements with plank weatherings, two gabled dormers with 3-light casements, and entrance, in original position, at right side of west bay, having a gabled porch on timber uprights and a half- glazed door. Interior: roof has intermediate collar-and-tie-beam truss and a single row of trenched purlins; main beams are stop-chamfered. Large C20 cross-wing at west gable end, its front gable end having paired 3-light ground floor casements and attic light.
