GV II
House. C18. Red brick with black headers, upper part of rear and front walls timber framed (now exposed with pargetting panels). Slate roof. A one and a half storeys, 2-room, end chimneys plan house facing S. Symmetrical 2 windows front with 6 panel door in middle and 3 gabled dormers at the eaves. 3-light casement windows renewed. Parlour at W, later single-storey slate and red brick extension at E end. Winding stair at rear of entrance lobby. C20 single storey brick flat roofed rear extension. Gable end walls have a plinth, 4 small segmental arched windows and internal gable chimney. Largest chimney at E end with ingle- nook on ground floor, with chamfered and stopped oak lintol. Smaller fireplace with curved back and chamfered lintol to parlour. Chamfered cross-beams with exposed square-section joists. An unusual example of mixed construction in brick and timber frame.
