House, once a convent. Mid C18 refurbishment of C17 or earlier timber framed structure. Circa 1960 red brick front in Georgian style in place of original elevation. Triple-pile machine tile mansard roof. Parapet. 5 segmental headed flush sash windows. Doric style doorcase. Roughcast S elevation with 2-storey Regency bow on W, weatherboarded. Interior has rich Ionic style modillioned entrance hall, pilasters opening to rear central staircase hall with three iron twist balusters on each tread. Venetian window to 1st floor landing with detached Doric columns. Original front door with 8 small fielded panels. Plain 2-storey right hand extensions of 1 and 2 windows, recessed from front.
