Inn. Early C17 or earlier, rear SW wing later C17, brick front and N bay
extension early C18. Timber frame roughcast, front of grey brick in
Flemish-bond with wide vertical bands of red brick and stucco plinth.
Steep old red tile roofs but front slope to street slated. Plaster coved
eaves cornice to S face of rear wing. A 2-storeys, 2-cells, former
lobby-entry, central chimney plan house facing E with a 2-cells
2-storeys and cellar SW rear wing with floor levels higher than front
range and large internal chimney. Stair in rear wing but originally to
rear of chimney of front range. E front has 3 1st floor windows, a blind
recess over door between 1st and 2nd ground floor windows from S end.
Stucco plinth, plat band, brick modillioned and corbelled eaves band,
and projecting brick rectangular bay to N part with door and window.
Flush box sashes with 8/8 panes and segmental arches to ground floor
windows. Doorway infilled by white weatherboarding below a rectangular
fanlight. Entrance on S by panelled door beside internal chimney of rear
wing which also has a sash window with 6/6 panes. Timber frame exposed
in rear wall of front range. Interior has some exposed frame timbers,
cased axial beam in SE room, and chamfered axial beam with hollow stops
and NW corner post of frame in NE bar.
