Rectory now a private house. C17 S range, C18 N range, early C19 service wing on E and brick casing of S range. Timber frame S range with roughcast E gable but S and W walls of red brick with yellow brick bands. Red brick N front. Tile hanging to upper floor of W porch. Flint with buff brick dressings to outhouse at NE. Old red tile roofs to house, outhouse slated. A C17 parsonage house or rectory of 2 storeys and attics with 3-cell central chimney plan, cruciform stack a third from W end and an internal gable stack at E end. Parallel 2 storeys N range, 7 windows long formerly with central entrance. 2 storeys early C20 porch on W end open on ground floor with 2 stone Doric columns. Dutch gable over tilehung 1st floor. Recessed sash windows to S front alternately with 6/6 panes and triple sashes: ababa. 3 gables with attic windows. Canted bay with French doors. Formal N front has a parapet part concealing the hipped roof with end chimneys. Advanced centre of 3 bays with central giant round headed arched recess containing a round headed 1st floor window. Segmental arches to sash windows with 6/6 panes. Drawing by Oldfield in HRO shows central door and doorcase and centre topped by a triangular pediment.(RCHM Typescript).
