House, at one time 2 dwellings. Early to mid C16, floored and stack inserted C17, altered C19, extended C20. Timber frame. Rendered and weatherboarded. Thatched roof. Probably a small 2 bay part or entirely open hall originally. 1 storey and attic. Low plinth. Central entrance, plank door in a moulded surround. Flanking casements are C19 5 light shop windows, canted out as oriels on brackets. An attic 3 light window with eyebrow thatching to right of centre. Right end internal stack, cap rebuilt. Exposed plates. Left end weatherboarded with 2 light casements. Right end render is panelled and pargetted. C19 and C20 outshuts to rear. Interior: exposed framing with tension braces, cambered collars to soot blackened clasped purlin roof with curved windbraces, stop chamfered axial bearer and joists on ground floor.
