SE 76 NW WELBURN VILLAGE STREET (north side) 5/130 Elm Tree House and Pigeon Cote Farmhouse
GV II Pair of houses. 2 builds: late C18 - early C19 and late C19. Elm Tree House: coursed rubble sandstone with pantile roof and rebuilt brick stacks. Central-entry plan. 2-storey, 2-window front. Centre 6-panel door. 12- pane sashes with painted stone sills throughout. Flat arches of painted, chiselled voussoirs to all openings. Coped gable and shaped kneeler to left. End stacks. Unoccupied at time of resurvey. Pigeon Cote House: I 1/2- storey, single window front. Entrance in gable end to right. Windows to front are 2-light, small-pane, horizontal sliding sashes, with painted lintel to ground-floor and in gabled half-dormer to attic. Pigeon Cote Farmhouse included for group value.
