NESFIELD WITH LANGBAR MAIN STREET SE 04 NE (north side) Nesfield 8/63 Manor House 4.9.81 GV II
House. Dated 1662 with probably early C20 alterations. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays with rear outshut. Quoins. C20 glazed door bay 3 with chamfered quoined jambs and lintel inscribed "CFL 1662". Windows: bay 1 - C20 two-storey canted bay; recessed chamfered mullion windows throughout: of 5, 1, 4 and 1 light to ground floor; of 3, 1 and 3 lights to first floor. Single-light windows with segmental heads. Dripmould above ground-floor windows, stepped label stops over door and main windows. Large ridge stack to right of door, single-flue stack beween bays 1 and 2. Right return: 3-light window with hoodmould to ground floor, inserted 4-light window in gable above. Garage range to left of no special interest.
