Lodge, gatepiers and gate. c1814
Lodge: Gault brick with ashlar dressings, wood and wrought iron
porch and grey slate roof. Gothick style. Single storey, 3 bays:
singlebay centre with single bay wings projecting at angles, and rear
range. Stone step to central recessed pointed 5-panel door under arched
lintel of painted brick interrupted by original decorative trellis porch
with canted sides and battlements. One pointed sash window with intersecting
glazing bars to head to right and left in wings and further
similar windows to ends of wings. Ashlar battlements, hipped roof with
central stack. Interior not inspected. Decorative wrought iron gates
and ashlar piers identical to those to Coach House (qv).
