House. C16, restored, extended to E and porch added in 1930s. Timber frame on red brick sill, roughcast with steep thatched hipped roof. A 2-storeys, 3-cells, central-chimney, lobby-entry plan house facing S, with later axial extension to E. Unheated former service room at W now thrown into hall. Chamfered cross- beam with bar-stops and tension braces. Large open fireplaces back-to-back. Floor over parlour partly removed leaving it open to the roof. Front has 2 eyebrow dormers, quarter-hipped thatched porch with moulded plank door and 2 small windows under old oak collar. 2-and 3-light oak mullioned windows, renewed with iron leaded casements. Lean-to under thatched catslide at E end. Large red brick panelled front-wall chimney.
