GV II

House. Probably late C16, cased mid C19, extended C20. Timber frame, red brick cased. Some cement render and tile hanging. Steeply pitched half hipped tiled roof. 3 cells. 2 storeys. Ground floor: entrance to right of centre, three 3 light small pane casements. First floor three 2 light small pane casements. All openings recessed with chamfered reveals, segmental heads on ground floor, irregularly spaced. Right end is cement rendered with scoring to resemble ashlar, red brick and flint plinth. Left end first floor sash window. To rear a ground floor 2 light flush frame casement with a segmental head. To rear right a short C20 wing, possibly replacing an earlier kitchen wing, some old red brick at base on outer face, inner face is tilehung over ground floor with a gabled dormer. 2 rebuilt stacks on rear slope of main range and on ridge of later wing where it joins main range. Interior: re-used stop chamfered and roll moulded bearers, jowled posts, cambered tie beams, clasped purlin roof with curved windbraces.
