(Shown on OS map as Broughtons Farm). Detached farmhouse. Rebuilt c1710. Ham stone cut and squared; thatched roof between coped gables, with urn finial to south gable; brick chimney stacks, one with traditional baffle. Two-storeys with attics, 3 bays. Hollow-chamfered mullioned windows in chamfered recesses below, 3-light with rectangular leaded panes and iron-framed opening lights in centres, with labels; above are three C20 windows in reconstructed stone surrounds: to lower bay 2, where the window is set to the left, a boarded door in deep recess, with open timber and thatched porch. South gable has C20 windows, two 3-light to ground floor and first floor, 2-light to attic; towards crown of gable a date plaque incised HB 1710(?). Leaded casement windows and French doors to rear, east elevation; against north gable an open extension which appears to reuse another 3-light mullioned window. Interior not seen, but reported are a 2-root plan with additions to rear, probably the reshaping of an earlier building; staircase has turned balusters, straight grip handrails, capped newel posts with pendants, of c1700, and rises to attics; chamfered framed ceiling to hall; roof has collar and tie-beam trusses.
