Manor house. Late C16, enlarged and subsequently altered. Random rubble, slate roofs, coped verges, large stone stack to left of entrance, and right at junction with cross wing. Plan not clear without internal inspection, possibly open hall now ceiled to right of porch with solar cross wing, service end left with later crosswing. Full height gabled porch centre left, large 4-light gabled dormer rising from below eaves right, inserted 3-light dormer in roof space left, ground floor 3-light ovolo moulded wooden mullioned and transomed windows below head moulds flanking porch, assumed to be reproductions of original windows, right two and a half storey cross wing with similar 2-light window ground floor, segmental headed window openings above, unsighted bay to right, service end crosswing, one and a half storeys with segmental headed mullioned and transomed windows with keystones. Chamfered depressed arch opening to porch, studded inner door. Interior not accessible at tide of survey and might merit a higher grade. C16 panelled screen to right of cross passage, said to be dated 1588. Random rubble walls enclosing forecourt on entrance front, about 1.5 metres high with chamfered pointed arch opening with rectangular parapet, 5 step mounting block to left. (Photograph in NMR).
