Barn. Early C17. Timber frame on tarred brick sill, dark weatherboarded with steep pitched roof now covered in slates. Iron vane at W end of ridge. A tall 5 bays barn with single aisle on N. Central entrance through aisle with opposed doorway into covered yard. Chamfered jowled posts, long straight braces to arcade plates and cambered tie-beams. 2 purlins to each slope, the upper clasped by a high collar, the lower on straight inclined queen-posts widening to the head. Face-halved bladed scarf joints in wallplates over post heads. Jowled aisle-posts with curved braces to aisle. Thin rafters as if for thatch.
